Some General Information

Me:

Photographer, Vagabond, Waiter, Graphic Designer.

I have had the desire to travel, to see the world in a way that would give me the richest experience of local culture possible as long as I can remember. Backpacking, trains, sailing, road trips if its a way to travel cheaply I’ve dreamed about doing it. A couple years after high school the idea of travelling on motorcycle showed up and wouldn’t leave. I’d never even ridden a motorcycle so I don’t know why it was so persistent but for the next couple years I saved my money learned how to ride, bought a motorcycle and read a lot of motorcycle blogs.

After learning so much from others who took the time and effort to put their stories online and with a bit of background in photography and design I decided it was only fair I returned the favor.

The Bike:

A KLR650; Durable, Cheap, Easy to Fix (supposedly)

I started the journey on a brightly colored 1993 that had no shortage of problems coming down the east coast, but that meant that by the time I settled in FL for a while I was quite familiar with the bike so, after it developed an oil burning issue I decided it was cheaper to sell it and buy another than fix it and miss a week of work.

She will never be as pretty as her older sister but the important parts seem to have been cared for and a new coat of paint will go a long way. I can't wait to get back on the road with my new mount.

Budget: $0.00 (I had about $5.5K for the first leg of the trip)
Current Location: Working in Santa Rosa Beach FL
Destination: Work (at least for a while, then hopefully into Mexico)
